Explore Stanley & Surroundings

This tour offers a relaxed and varied introduction to Stanley and some of the most scenic and interesting locations nearby.

Your journey begins with a short drive east of Stanley to Cape Pembroke Lighthouse. This exposed and scenic spot offers coastal views, birdlife, and a chance to see the memorial to the Atlantic Conveyor.

From here, the tour continues to the local airport (FIGAS), where you’ll see the Islander aircraft that connect the Falkland Islands’ remote settlements. This site also played an important role during the 1982 conflict.

Next, you’ll visit Gypsy Cove, one of the most beautiful and accessible coastal spots near Stanley. Known for its white sand, turquoise waters, and resident Magellanic penguins, it’s a favourite for both visitors and locals. On the way, you’ll also see reminders of the Islands’ history, including Argentine positions and marked minefields.

The tour finishes with a drive around Stanley itself, where you’ll see key landmarks such as Government House, the Whale Bone Arch, Victory Green, and other notable sites, offering a glimpse into daily life in the Falklands.
